Carole:

from Australia, a counselor, was walking the Camino with Tom, also
a counselor. Counselor is one of the specific Australian licenses for psychologist, or therapist. Carole’s concentration was in suicide prevention.

Carole was investigating the possibility of a job shift, with a three week rotation, that would have her providing services to S.E.Asian refugees who had landed on the Australian coast and were being held in centers where they experienced crowding, abuse, hunger, unsanitary conditions, and difficulty in making a transition.
