Caisa:
a librarian, with family, is one of the people I met in St. Jean Pied de Port. I've always been partial to librarians. They do such a vital service to a community. Librarians will find me any book I need, even if they have to go cross continent.
Caisa was one of the Swedes from the Heartfulness Center walking to Burgos.
Having a hitch in my git-a-long, I had decided not to ruin my Camino experience by attempting the 1st stage Roncesvalles challenge of a 17 mile walk up 3500 feet with a steep descent at the end that could break bones. Roncesvalles is where many Spanish start the Camino. I took a taxi and Caisa, with a sore knee, was also riding. We had a good day talking and ended up in the same sleeping alcove in the recently renovated maonastery albergue.
A few days later Caisa was instrumental in my being adopted by the Swedish group that would nightly talk about their day on the Camino and their personal goals and development. The Swedes were open and supportive.
