Matthew and Elma

Two gentle people from the Netherlands; Matthew a retired career
Segeant Major for Logistics in the Dutch army, Elma a retired teacher of history and English for boys 13 – 15 years of age.

We walked together several times, discussing various world situations,
and I was treated to the story of how the Dutch army arrived at a plan of action. With the troop gathered, an officer would present plans for an operation and would then open the floor for discussion. Any changes agreed upon would alter the plan. That evening and the next day if more refinements were suggested, after a full dsicussion a plan was finalized.
