Vicki:

in her early middle forties, an alternative medical health provider, was making the transition from employee to establishing her own practice where she could provide focused care for just a few patients at a time.

On the maseta, Vicki found a man down and unconscious. She did what she could to stabilize him and ran for help — returned and cared for him until EMTs arrived and got him to a hospital.
