World trade center (Nepal)
oil/liquin on linen, 45” x 30”, 2006
On trek in Nepal, at 15,500 feet, 15 miles from the border of Tibet, on an ancient trade route, really just a path, we had a rest day before crossing the high pass at 17,100 feet. This Nepali merchant had set up his tent and was selling boiled potatoes, crackers, and a few other items; truly a world trade center.
