Brian:

spent 21 years as an artillery gunner in the Australian army and had risen to the rank of Sergeant Major. Of course his hearing is compromised. Brian, afflicted with polio as a child, now seems to suffer from a return of muscle weakness which hits many ex-polio adults (Post Polio Syndrome). He, able to do the Camino in sections, soon had to leave to meet a family gathering in France. Brian told great stories, asked good questions, and wanted to learn everything.
